I’m in this weird place with my running, where I don’t really recognize myself, but maybe I’m starting to again? I’m so used to having big race goals and times that I dream about, but it’s been a minute since I’ve felt that way. I love running and want to run every day of my life, but things have shifted when it comes to races. Emilee had a workout yesterday, and we decided to join for the first section of it. While we were doing the workout, it felt SO good and fun to be pushing myself again. And while we were doing it, I started thinking about how fun it would be to do a race and set time goals again. Anyway, I’m confused about my running plans, but it sure felt good to do some speed yesterday, and I really want to keep doing it at least once a week. 4 flat miles @ 6:48 pace in the middle of 10 miles.

Jenisy is sporting the best running coat and running gloves there ever was. I should have added this picture to my post yesterday about my favorite winter pieces.

Beck is still celebrating Christmas over here:

And he is obsessed with biking.

Which is confusing because I swear he should still be riding on Andrew’s bike. I don’t understand how things change so quickly.

Bubbles were at the fountain, which made their month.

Dinner was amazing… We had this crockpot creamy chicken gnocchi soup. I will be making it again. The kids gave it all of the thumbs up possible. Gnocchi is heavenly.

These are a few of my favorite things… Scotchmallows See’s Candies are #1.

My friend Austin (who had me sign up for my trail race last August) is now texting me crazy things about a hundred miler…

Dr. B (the doctor who solved every injury I had for well over ten years) was wondering, “What brand/model has been your favorite athletic tracking/heart monitor watch?”
-I have never paid much attention to heart rate on my watches, so does anyone have one that they love to recommend to him?
Favorite See’s?
Any desire to do an ultra?
How has your running goals shifted over the years?
-It feels so strange to have obsessed over the numbers for so many years and not anymore!
