(long sleeve, leggings, cutest red bra on the planet)
Every night, this cat sleeps in our front yard, and the kids run out to greet him each morning.

8 miles @ 8:17 pace and green grass in January?!

Sometimes the blender has extra green smoothie, and I drink from the blender.

Beck is getting out on his bike daily.

And Knox came home, so everyone was happy.

A chicken rice bowl (missing a few things like cilantro and jalapenos) that hit the spot.

It’s that time of year, thankfully:

Thoughts on the new Dietary Guidelines For Americans?

Do you want the good news or the bad news first? Okay, it’s not bad news anymore, but for a while, I was stressed.
Good news: Andrew got a promotion at work! Yay! Cheers! Clapping! He works so hard at what he does, and I’m amazed at how he helps people in their darkest times of life and, at the same time, gives others a second chance at life.
Bad news (I cried about it for a few hours before I thought of reaching out to Julie and she helped me figure out): About a week before Christmas, the company I’ve worked with for 11 years and that has been the majority of my income (Collective Voice), let everyone know they were closing up shop entirely. The email took me by surprise because they have been so reliable and great over the years. We were already talking about 2026 plans! Long story short, Julie helped me out, and I joined a new company (ShopMy wahoo) that I’m really enjoying so far! I have to build up there before I’ll get sponsorships, etc, again. SO, pardon the dust. Pardon me linking a bit more than I usually do (all affiliate links, THANK YOU). I want blogging to stay my job forever, and like any job, pivots are required. I genuinely do love sharing my favorite things, sales, things I couldn’t live without, and like my Dad’s mother, who was a professional shopper for her career, I do feel like my passion for shopping is in my DNA;)
Thanks for sticking with me through pivots, because I’ll still be posting race recaps here when I am 90.
Isn’t it crazy that we started together when I was a teacher, married to a different person, no kids, no pets, and sharing my tuna/roasted broccoli/carrots/relish/cabbage/ketchup salads (it pains me to look back at my meals from the beginning days of blogging, but also, my green smoothies now aren’t pretty;). My love for family and running has stayed the same all of these years (along with my grammar mistakes), while everything else has changed a lot.
