Andrew can breathe a sigh of relief because my birthday is over;). It was perfect in every way, and I am really excited for my 40s and feeling motivated to get some PRs as a Master! Let’s catch up on a few things we’ve been up to in my favorite place in the world.
For my birthday run, I wanted to go after the Crown Record on Strava for my favorite loop. Some speedsters have done this loop, and I had to kill myself off for the CR;). The first half of it is down and the second half is up which makes it challenging but so fun… I finished with a 5:39 pace for the .92 mile segment (and of course had to keep going to finish off the mile).

We spent a lot of time at Poipu Beach snorkeling and staring at the turtles and Monk Seals.
We went on a whale watching tour and saw dolphins and whales. Beck kept looking back at me with this face and it was my favorite part of the day… he was so happy to be out on the ocean adventuring.
We drove up to Waimea Canyon. The views were unreal.
Then headed to the top to look out over the Napali Coast.
Maybe not the prettiest picture but the best Poke I’ve ever had from a food truck.
And of course some ice cream.
We got out just the two of us for Valentine’s.
