It was our last day here! I adjusted to the time change just in time to go home;).
8 miles @ 8:24 pace. It snowed a bunch (finally) at home while we were gone, so my run views are about to drastically change.

We went straight to Anini Beach. We love to stay in Princeville, and this beach is very close and has the best snorkeling. Seeing sea turtles is basically guaranteed here.

We had our last acai bowls.

Beck found some sweet sunglasses.

And we spent the afternoon at Hanalei Bay.

Leaving the water for the last time hurt.

Expect to see Skye in her new hat every day of her life for a while.

Now for some random thoughts…
*I was reminiscing about the good ol’ days when I would only take caffeine before a race. I asked Andrew if we could get a mini fridge to put under my bed so I don’t even have to walk a step before ingesting caffeine. I don’t think I could do an easy-paced run without it anymore.

*I’m not sure how I am going to live without fruit stands everywhere I look.

*Curly taught us the joy of a toasted bagel with plain cream cheese and blueberries. Try it.

*Seashell nails for Hawaii were a fun choice.

*Curly and I sent this pic to my sister because she and I used to run sharing one pair of headphones like this on our runs… but they weren’t plugged into an iphone, they were plugged into an ipod. We had to run so close to each other.

*I loved getting so many miles with each person in my family over the last week.

*They all hated sand as a baby but now they could live in the sand:

*Knox ate an Ego waffle during the first 5 minutes of our run, and it took me back to ultra training because I’m pretty sure I used to do the same.

-I’m sure I could, but it would hurt.
Do you have access to local fruits and veggies where you live?
