Yesterday, I had a doctor’s appointment with a new hormone NP (my previous one moved, so I found a place that accepts insurance, which will save $$, wahoo) at 11:30, and they told me to fast for a blood draw. I followed directions perfectly (luckily, I could have water) and met my friends for a run. You guys. That was painful. I also didn’t have any caffeine, and I felt like I was crawling. Each mile felt like an eternity physically.
Back in the old days, I did basically every run fasted and very much underfueled. It was torture. I’m sharing this today because I want anyone reading who is underfueled for their runs to know that running is so much more enjoyable with the proper fueling. I also got so much faster once I started fueling better and had way fewer injuries. Today’s the day to start, and I’m always one email away to help cheer you on.
It felt good to be back with the girls, but I can’t wait for some fueled miles this morning.

Post-appointment, I went to my favorite grocery store and had the place to myself. It’s weird how much fun I had there.

Beck was very excited to get back to preschool.

Beck’s preschool teacher is the best. She saved all the Valentines for Beck since he was gone for the party. The volcano Valentine won his heart.

We had these blueberry muffins while we worked at the counter, catching up on school and life. Brooke declared these ones to be the best muffins she has ever tasted.

And mini chocolate chip ones for Beck. Although he loves blueberries and loves muffins, he does not love them combined, and he is shocked that we do.

It feels really good to be back to the routine. We went to the park to do Brooke’s touches for soccer with some hill sprints thrown in there.

Beck set the world record (at least we are guessing;) for this particular slide and going down it as many times as he could in a row. He slept very well after doing this.

We had another winner for dinner–> Easy Bang Bang Salmon Nourish Bowls!

When I really need some chocolate, this is one of the only things that fully fulfills the need.

When you NEED some chocolate–> what is your goto to fulfill the craving?
If you’ve gone from underfueling to fueling well, what changed for you?
What surface are you mostly running on? (I’m curious)
And to finish off with a would you rather Q–> Would you rather forget your watch or forget your headphones?
