A full weekend + itching + Top 10

(shorts, long-sleeve)

March already! Last month really slipped away fast, but that is probably because we were gone most of the month. Andrew has his birthday this month, a bike race, and I think I’m going to start an official training block because I’m itching for a plan.

As for the weekend…. On Friday, we ran 14 miles @ 7:48 pace. Swedish Fish (heart edition) is still fueling some of my runs, 15 years later. For some reason, over the years, people have had the strangest opinions about fueling a run with Swedish Fish, but every sports dietitian I’ve asked has given me the green light for this type of fueling. Cheap and delicious.

And on Saturday, I had 7 miles with Andrew. He took Knox’s bike out with me because his bike that isn’t connected to the trainer is in the shop. I still laugh when I see Knox’s air freshener on his bike.

I got in leg day on Saturday, too, and I’ve never been happier to see the word DONE. I couldn’t have done one more squat if I had to.

We had the most beautiful weather, and two miles of hiking wasn’t enough for Beretta. Her endurance at 14 is something else.

Max wanted 20 miles.

Porch chats are back in full force.

Brooke had an indoor soccer game in the evening, and one of her teammates’ families invited us over for cake afterward. You guys. If you need an amazing chocolate cake, please try the recipe my friend uses. I will dream about this cake. Also, they had us try passionfruit, and it was the first time I’ve had one (that I remember;).

We got out to ski for a few hours. It was so warm that the girls didn’t wear coats.

We spent a lot of time with Andrew’s family!

All of his siblings were in town, and the girls got to hear all of the crazy stories from Andrew’s childhood. Andrew’s parents had a daughter and then five sons in a row… There are a lot of stories that are hard to believe but true haha.

We finished off the weekend with these Roasted Sweet Potato Stacks with Chipotle Sauce. I love this recipe so much.

And now that February is over, I’ll include the bestsellers from my blog this last month:

*This tank (for running and/or the rest of the day)

*The best jeans I forgot about and found and haven’t stopped wearing since…

*Endless High Rise Pant (and they are 30% off today!)

*These Athleta Joggers (also 30% off)

*The best jogger set–> top and bottoms. I want to live in them.

*This set I wore in Hawaii and is perfect for any Spring Break trips.

*Salty Face tanning water spray. So easy to apply and the best coloring.

*My daily protein powder (chocolate pb tastes like a milkshake)

*My birthday purse from Andrew:)

*Brooke’s tank that I have been borrowing.
