A few weeks ago, I decided to stick to just posting on the weekdays (after posting on Saturdays for 15 years!). Now, by the time a Monday morning post comes around, I feel like it’s been way too long since we last talked! So, let’s catch up on it all.
PS: This had me thinking about how I used to post two times a day, seven days a week… I clearly felt a strong responsibility to show you the same bowl of oatmeal I ate every morning and make sure I didn’t miss sharing a single detail;)
On Friday, we did our long run for the week: 11 miles at 7:58 pace. 5.5 miles directly into a headwind, 5.5 miles feeling like we were floating with the tailwind.

Brooke’s Friday night soccer game started at 9:15 PM. Kids make you do uncomfortable things, like staying up 3 hours later than your body wants to be tucked into bed, but the game was so much fun, and I can’t believe how well she is playing.

Beck joined me for part of my full-body workout on the CGX app Saturday morning. I am following the IRON PRO program and on workout 25. I am shocked that I’m still doing this, but it’s all about finding the right workouts for our personal needs and the movements we love… and I’ve found it!

I love to do microneedling every few months, and I always go to the same place/woman, but this last round HURT. It made me tear up this time, and my face was bright red for 24 hours.

Andrew and I watched this over the weekend. It. Was. So. Good. Please watch.
Curly and I were reading buddies on the porch, under our blankets on the porch.

I have not been this out of my comfort zone in a while… I was asked to teach the women of our church group (I can teach people younger than me all day, but I get so intimidated teaching adults), and I felt like I was going to black out before I stood up. But I did it, and we had a great time. I only regret about 21 things I overshared about.

Mel’s 1-hour breadsticks are perfect. + My mom’s delicious lasagna.

We celebrated 4 birthdays in one night.

Brooke and Curly made the most perfect chocolate cake. I will have this for every birthday for the rest of my life.

Did you see this about the LA Marathon? It was so hot that they gave medals to the runners who made it to mile 18. I’d love to read your thoughts or know if you’ve ever seen this happen before.

Ever had microneedling done, or any type of facials/treatments that you love?
Please tell me some highlights from your weekend!
Workouts you’ve tried in the past that were just NOT for you?
-Strength training that involves cardio (I want cardio from running only;), and swimming (fun, but I prefer to wash my hair once a week).
Anyone run the LA Marathon yesterday? Thoughts on the medal at mile 18?!
