Tangents. Morning Double. Experience > Outcome

(tank, shorts)

What a joy it was to finish up a run, sweaty and not even remotely cold. We stopped for water twice because it was so warm and dreamy. I got home from my run with Jess, and my niece had the day off from school and wanted to run, so I got in a morning double;)

I tried out the Swiftly Cami Tank for the first time, and I couldn’t love it more. It has a bit more structure to the fabric than the normal Swiftly tanks, which makes it a bit more flattering. I also love the thin straps, and you can’t go wrong with leopard print. I also got it in red because I loved them so much when I tried them on.

Protein shakes first and then the best flavor of DDP (cream soda) while picking up some of Andrew’s birthday presents. He turns 38 on Saturday!

I’m loving that Skye is passionate about soccer now because we can go to touches all together.

Tuesday Tangents:

*Honeycrisp apples are supreme. They taste like a dessert.

*Meals with a lot of ingredients and flavors are fun, but so are the meals with minimal ingredients that make you feel like you are getting a warm hug.

*Skye told me to blog about her favorite recipe she has created. Let us know if anyone tries it so I can tell her:) Toasted bagel, strawberry cream cheese, cut up strawberries.

*Marathon fun facts: There are 1.1-1.3 million people who run a marathon each year, and the average marathon runner is 40 years old. (according to Google). I was 24 for my first marathon and went into it thinking there was no chance I would ever do more than one.

*We are still listening to Polar Express any and every time he’s the only kid in the car. I know every lyric to the entire album.

*My nephew had an article written about him and his Pig, Dave, on People! He saved Dave:). Nixon is the coolest and my SIL is hilarious, enjoy her TikTok!

*Don’t forget this with your training. Keep on staying consistent!

*One more training tip–> whether you hit the times you want or not in your running, don’t forget the real win is the experience we get with this all. Life is so much more fun for me when I focus on the experience more than the outcome.

*My brother read this book and loved it so much that he sent it to everyone in our family. I’m excited for the topic and excited for a free book:)
