I love mornings when Skye lets me do her hair.
Emilee is winding down to Boston, and the taper has begun for her. She had 8 x 800s to do yesterday, and we joined her for 6 of them at an average pace of 2:58. I love track workouts, love them. I can always fake a bit more fitness there (thanks to the short intervals and 90-second rests between each) than I actually have in me. Emilee knows this about me;), so she talked to us about some fun fall race plans that we should do together… I haven’t fully committed, but I am dreaming a bit more now.
I love this track, but I do not love tasting Big Macs in the air when I’m gasping for oxygen to deliver to my muscles while doing speedwork.
I feel like we are getting our prettiest spring yet, even though we didn’t have to do much to earn it, since our winter was so mild.

I did lower body day on the CGX app afterward, my legs were goners by the end.
The photo above reminded me to tell you about my recent oven burn. I was taking out roasted veggies and hit the top of the oven on the way out. It hurt so bad.

HE IS OFFICIALLY DONE WITH HIS MASTERS! What a relief! And now that he will be getting his tuition reimbursement from his work, it means it’s time for me to start planning another trip ;). Skye votes we should celebrate his accomplishment in Alaska.
