Made me tear up + 10 + Race Week.

(tanks)

How are you guys? Are you feeling all of the motivation to run after the last two weekends of races? Sabastian Sawe and Yomif Kejelcha dipped under 2 hours, and Tigst Assefa set a new world record for the women in London! Between watching so many incredible athletes, making it through another winter, and all of the green landscapes, I’m ready to get out and run today.

Friday, we did 12 miles with some That’s it bar stops.

We finished this beautiful book, and we are now reading The One and Only Bob.

Knox and I got out for a date to Chic-fil-A and to pick out a new shirt.

And on Saturday, I lifted FIRST before running.

And then Andrew got home from his Boys Trip (his group of friends from 3rd grade on get together every year), and we went out for 7 miles. I was very worried that my legs would be jello for the run because I lifted first, but in reality, everything was actually firing properly, and they felt great… I need to lift more often before running.

The kids were thrilled to have Andrew back!

Andrew and Brooke had an away soccer game, so I had the other three to get around, and I can’t tell you how proud I was of Knox… There was no coach for Beck’s team (someone said they would be there, but then they weren’t), and Knox stepped right in and coached. I could have cried; it made me so happy. He reminds me so much of Andrew. Afterward, Beck asked if he could coach every game now. Skye then had a game, and then it was over to Knox’s 7-on-7 tournament.

After all of the games and tournaments, Andrew and I went out to celebrate our 10-year dating anniversary. We were thinking of going to where we went for our first date, Outback Steakhouse, but all I could think about was a plate of carbs instead.

We then got to see my niece and her date walk down the stairs for prom. She was absolutely stunning.

Steak, shrimp, mashed potatoes, sourdough, salad, and grapes for a big Sunday meal that made we want to hibernate for a while after.

It’s race week for me! I decided to run the Provo City 5k. I have no idea where my fitness is, but I gotta start somewhere! And suffering for 3.1 miles sounds like a lot of fun. I’ve always loved the Provo City half (the first race I did with Andrew!), and I’m excited to try out their 5k. Come join me this weekend!
