A little bit of this and a little bit of that:

Where to even begin?! Thank goodness I take pictures of everything we do because I’ve already forgotten what we’ve been up to;) I am running on fumes, good fumes, but a heavy dose of exhaustion mixed in, too. I’m sure many of you feel the same! So, if this post bounces around all over the place, remember the fumes part.

*Skye wanted Panda Express for her birthday lunch, which I was happy about because it is right next to my current favorite Utah restaurant, Aubergine. This mango salmon bowl might look strange, but it tasted heavenly.

*”This is a chill beanie.” -Beck Baron. <– he must have siblings who are teenagers

*She is so excited to get on the lift that she wears her helmet and goggles in the car to make it easier to jump out of the car and start. When I was growing up and skiing, no one in my area wore helmets. Was that the case for anyone else?

*Beck and I love to ski, but we also love to go in and grab a hot chocolate after 2-3 hours.

*I know I have shared this soup a million times, but the homemade noodles are so good (and so is the mashed potatoes in the base).

*Her wish came true, and we made it to a Utah Mammoth hockey game. These games are intense, and so are the ticket prices (hence, the nosebleed seats;).

*It’s the season that I carry my heating pad around the house and plug it into the nearest outlet. I think my body is having a harder time acclimating this year… HOW DID I RUN IN A SPORTS BRA DURING THE WINTER A FEW YEARS AGO??

*Just the friendship my sister and I always dreamed that our kids would have… My sister and I used to draw out house plans where we would live next door to each other with an underground tunnel connecting our homes so our kids could run back and forth to each other. We didn’t quite get that wish, but .621 miles away is pretty darn close.

*A beautiful run with friends!

*I was planning on joining in on the speed work portion of it, but then decided not to… I think I will get back into workouts in January. Anyone else feeling this way?

*Still having a green smoothie every day… .5 lb of spinach/chard/kale, frozen berries, 1/4 cup chia seeds, frozen banana, some ice and it looks horrible but tastes so good and it makes me feel so good. It also gets in half of my daily fiber goal, boom.

*You know if Beck takes a nap, we must have been going hard.

*We took in Skye’s favorite chocolate chip cookies to her class, and they truly are a 10/10.

Tell me about the last delicious thing that you ate.

What was the most dangerous thing you did growing up?

-Probably skiing without a helmet.

What sport is most exciting to watch in person for you?

Anyone else deciding to wait until January to get back into speed workouts?
