A One-Antlered Car, Braces, and Winter Miles… Welcome to My Life

As much as I want to be running in a tank and shorts, there is just something about the views from winter runs.

I’m back on the green smoothie train. I put in .5 lb of power greens (spinach, chard, kale), 1/4 cup chia seeds, water, a frozen banana, and frozen berries. I had blood work done, and my LDL cholesterol is high (this is common in my family), so I’m trying to increase my fiber, omega-3s, and avocado intake and bring that number down. I love the taste of this smoothie so don’t be afraid of trying it if you are interested…

I lost one of my car antlers, and it got run over by a car, so I’m currently driving around with a red nose on the grille, and just one antler on my car.

It was an ice hockey kind of day.

She still loves it so much.

When Beck saw Knox:

It was a very big day for Knox…

HE GOT BRACES. His teeth are a bit sore, so he will stick to softer foods for a few days, but he is very excited. Next up, both girls in January. I’ll be living in the waiting room here all of 2026;)

Brooke requested Pink Pasta for dinner. I love making dinner when people are sending in requests… It’s the thinking of what to make part that I dislike greatly. This pasta is so so good.

Finished off with some chocolate post-dinner because it doesn’t feel like the end of the day without some chocolate.

Speaking of chocolate, this made me laugh:

I’m having more fun than usual decorating for Christmas… and Andrew can’t say anything due to the fact that he has that whole Halloween hobby;)

Did you ever have braces? What was your experience?

Are you into smoothies? What are your go-to ingredients?

Is coming up with what to make the hardest part of making dinner for anyone else, too?

Are you a fan of winter running, or are you more just surviving it?

-My running group has mixed reviews.
