One Last Time + Not Fast Enough + Tangents

(tank, long sleeve, shorts, shoes, sunglasses)

I’m going to get in some speed today and had easy miles with the gals yesterday.

I tried out the Saucony Women’s Ride for the first time yesterday. If I had to describe them thus far in three words, I would say they are cushy, light, and bouncy. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved them. They are beautiful.

Fun fact: coffee tables double as workout benches. Upper body day on the CGX app.

We got to spend some time with Andrew’s parents and the kids were thrilled to eat at the small table all together.

And then we made a stop at one of my favorite spots, Planted in Pages.

I love this little bookstore and can’t wait to dive into The Surrogate Mother and Whisper Sweet Nothings. If anyone wants to read and discuss these this month, let me know.

It was a very rainy afternoon and evening, which meant that Ang’s Tortellini Soup was a must.

Tangent time:

*Knox wanted to see if Andrew could swaddle and hold him one last time (he’s over 150 lbs at this point, so it wasn’t an easy task;).

*Beck also wanted to be swaddled again.

*My kids and their Lego brains make me so happy.

*I have not been able to listen to this book fast enough. SHOCKING. Thanks, Ali, for the recommendation!

*Does anyone else get sentimental about old running shoes that they used to wear? I see a pic with my old Mizuno Wave Riders, and I tear up. They were my #1 for a very long time. Do I try their 29th version that is out right now?

*Andrew’s gels for his bike race soon…
