Tangents, final product, Dream Trip.

(tank, shorts)

8.6 miles in the canyon, and we stopped every .3 miles to check in on our friends racing Boston. I’m pretty sure Boston took up 95% of my thoughts yesterday.

I spy a new pump track going in:

Back and chest day on the CGX app.

I got Beck out of school a few minutes early and surprised him with some tickets to the Mario Movie. My goal this week is to take each kid on a one-on-one date. I always make the kids share things when we go out to things, so to have his own slushee and popcorn felt like a very big deal for him;)

We had the entire theater to ourselves, and he still sat on my lap the entire time. It was the best.

Knox wanted a buzz cut and cheetah print hair… Curly delivered. She also did it for his best friends!

The finished product:

Let’s get into the tangents for the day:

*Emilee ran a course record by 5 minutes @ 41! She is something else. I am blown away by my friends.

*My kids were very confused why school wasn’t canceled for them to be able to watch the entire Boston Marathon.

*It was SO fun to see our friend Kodi in the front for the first 18 miles. Skye kept saying, “Kodi’s still winning the race right now!” Kodi had a 5-minute PR and finished in 2:24.

*We decided to make pancake tacos the other day. They were delicious. Nutella or Biscoff was the base of each of them. So good BUT they were so sweet that we…

*Had to make and eat a salad afterward because we were on a sugar high that needed taming.

*My niece taught me that if you have any leaves touching the water in your vase, it kills your flowers faster. These flowers are lasting forever with this new trick!

*It’s frozen grapes snacking season.

*My parents just got back from the most magical trip to England… My mom has wanted to go there for years (decades!). She is writing a full recap of their tip for the blog. I’m going to miss all of the stunning photos she sent while knowing she was living out her dream.

*We wanted burgers, didn’t have buns, I didn’t want to go to the store, and so I decided to make my own. We will NEVER eat any other buns than these now. They elevated the burger so much. They were very easy to make, too.

Where would be your absolute dream trip?

Biscoff or Nutella (or neither?)

Ever do anything drastic with your hair or no way?

Who ran Boston yesterday? PLEASE tell me all about it!
