Skye wants to get on that 2nd-grade girls’ podium at the Fun Run, and so she asked if we could do a course preview. This way she can plan out her pacing… atta girl.

She said she was saving her legs for race day next week, but she ran the entire thing without stopping! The course is a tricky one with a massive hill, grass running, curbs, sidewalks, and road… I am very excited for her!

And then it was off to meet my friends for some speed. We had 6 x 800s on the schedule, but 4 ended up feeling like the right call for the day. The goal was to maintain a ‘comfortable hard pace’ for the first 600m and then have a fast finish with the last 200m, which is what we did. I take great pride in my pacing abilities, and we hit a 2:54, 2:54, 2:54, and then, before the last one, Jess told me she would buy me a milkshake if I paced another 2:54… I tried my hardest, but we got a 2:55;). No milkshake, but I’ll do better next time;)

(My tank)
Much better weather yesterday.

Beck took Run Club very seriously after school. He can sprint faster without shoes on than I can with shoes on.

And then I got a date with just Brookie.

Name a better soft serve than Chick-fil-A.

Mt Timpanogos is sure showing off…

Over on the IG, I’ve had some questions about my tablescapes that I’ve recently become obsessed with, and for the links to my favorite pieces. A lot of my dishes and pieces are from years ago, and many are from DI (Deseret Industries… Utah’s thrift store)! But I will link to the things I have online, as well as the items that have been calling my name and are waiting in my cart. I don’t need to be a Martha Stewart; the meals can still be simple, but I love how good it feels to dress the table up a bit.
I’m telling you, add a few pretty dishes, a candle or flowers, and some placemats, and it will change the entire experience. People (myself included) will want to stay and talk for longer, which brings more connection, and I can’t think of anything better for our health than that… Make dinner slow again!

*I just started using cloth napkins, which is ridiculous, I know, but I am already doing 5 loads of laundry a day, I can just throw them right in.
*I love this Salt Cellar, and this salt is supreme.
*I love these placemats, and these ones.
*I just ordered this table runner and this tablecloth.
*I highly recommend thrifting your dishes because you can find some amazingly unique ones, and I also love Target’s dishes–> here, here, here, here, here, here, and here are a few I own and love.
*I love my Weck Jars and my everyday bowl (that I use for decorations and serving, too).
*I love my Our Place pans!
*I love our butter dish and guac set.
*These jam jars for homemade jam look so pretty on the table.
*This cast-iron pan is one that I love.
*This serving splatter platter that I adore.
*We use this trifle bowl often!
*I love this bubble candle dish.
*A few things on my wishlist: This platter, this serving bowl, this salad bowl, and this splatter tray.

Share any of your favorite dishes or things you think I would love to add to our table! It’s one of my biggest passions right now:)
