Can’t Justify It. Back to it. Love a fresh cut and color.

(bra, shorts, shoes, sunglasses)

Back to workouts! I’m having Jeff coach me again (aka the coach who got me a PR in every distance), and he gave us 3-4 downhill-mile repeats followed by 4 x 200s. In 2024, I thought there was no way I would EVER be able to run this segment (we call them MTCs, and the first time I did it was in 2014) again because of my back/hamstring, so I was feeling very thankful to be doing them yesterday.

I could definitely still feel the soreness from last Saturday’s race in my legs, so I am glad the rain pushed the workout back a day.

We were told to start at 5:50ish and work down to 5:35ish–> We did 5:47, 5:41, and 5:33. 4 x 200m, which somehow felt harder than the mile repeats;)

I’m a big fan of these striped shorts–> I get the 4″ and I’m a size small.

I got to go and get my hair done and hold my gair girl’s new baby. She is 8 weeks old and perfect.

I love a fresh cut and color.

These two have been big into playing school together.

Skye and I were invited to a Mother’s Day activity with her church group. The setup was so cute.

After we ate, they read this book to all of us as we made bracelets together. This book is a must… it was so sweet.

Andrew made dinner, and it hit the spot. BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, and Caesar salad.

We finished up the day at Brooke’s last soccer game of the season, and they took first in their league!

PS Earlier in the week, Andrew and I tried the new Dirty Dr. Pepper at McDonald’s. It was amazing. But I can’t justify $4 on them (which is strange when I can justify other things quite easily;) as often as I would like, so I grabbed this cold foam creamer from TJ’s, added it to my DDP with some vanilla syrup, and it was perfection.

Any plans for Mother’s Day?

Any new food or drink things you’ve tried and loved?

Ever had an injury that you worried would keep you from doing what you love?

Have things you tend to try to save on and things you are okay splurging on?
