I can’t have it all. Weekending. If you…

Friday = 12 miles total with 2 @ 6:05 thrown in the middle.

For the next 4ish months, it’s time to find the shadiest paths to run on:)

Saturday: 7 miles with Max in the mountains. I cannot get my legs to move on the trails like they did last year… and I think I figured it out. I can’t have my cake and eat it too. I want to be fast on the roads right now, strength train consistently throughout the weeks, and be fast on the trails, but I think I can only do two of those things at a time. I’ve never been able to do all 3 at once, and so I kind of just have to choose. So, I think I’m choosing to get faster on the roads, and strength train consistently, which leads to very dead legs on the trails… But, as long as I can get up on the dirt, I don’t care what my pace will be there.

Flowers are starting to pop up.

Beck started baseball, he had a soccer game right after that, Skye then had a game, and then it was off to Knox’s rugby games up north. I did fit in a shower at some point, which I was proud of.

Little boys playing baseball might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Beck was pretty proud of his watch tan line while we were at Knox’s Rugby games. I know absolutely nothing about Rugby but I’m now watching YouTube tutorials about it to learn.

You must try this Creamy Tuscan Chicken over pasta one night that you feel like you need a fancier meal. It is so beyond good.

Sunday hike club week #2 happened. Big Spring Loop.

I have always loved to run this loop and it was so fun being able to take the crew.

Andrew was at work basically the entire weekend and he was very missed for the hike.

3 miles with about 600 ft of gain. We are training to hike Mt Timpanogos together by the end of the summer.

We attempted a photo together but then a massive hawk flew by and stole the show.

Tell me about your weekend, please!

Where do you feel like you have to compromise with your training?

-I can choose 2 out of my 3 favorites at a time to do–> strength, road speed, and trails.

What are you having for dinner tonight?

What do you think is the cutest sport to watch little kids play?
