I sure didn’t expect this guy to be out on our run yesterday (also, in real life, he looked much larger than he does in the photo below).

It was workout day. We were thisssssss close to postponing the workout because the wind was out of control and blowing from every direction, and we were all feeling exhausted, but we decided to just go for it and get it done. I’m glad we did. Sometimes, you just have to stop thinking about all the things going wrong, lock in, and push start.
10 miles total with this in the middle.
The workout was 6 sets of:
2 minutes @ 550-600,
1 minute @ 645-655,
1 minute @ 530-540,
2 minutes easy jog recovery
It was not easy (the workout or keeping track of the workout in my head… should have programmed it into my watch), but I do love workouts like this because they keep your brain focused on what you are doing next, so you forget how bad your legs feel. Also, isn’t it crazy how much of a difference running 10-20 seconds faster per mile feels? That 6:00 pace vs the 5:40 pace felt like two completely different worlds.
Don’t my friend’s running shoes look new? They sure aren’t, but they are diligent with washing their running shoes and they always look brand new.

Came home to this. Summer>>>>>

We took the pups on a walk.

We were two bushes short, and so Beck and I went back to the nursery, followed by more yard work.

Brooke’s team had soccer tryouts, and then we went to the Farmer’s Market.

This girl and her fruit juice.

My ideal way of eating is to get a bunch of different dishes and share them all with my people.

I could eat Italian every day of my life.

These were an absolute must.

Would you rather have your own meal or split with others to try more than one thing?
