Please tell me what to do. Backhanded compliment.

Garmin gives the most backhanded compliments… I swear I’ve been working hard;)

I’m choosing to take this statement below as I am more than ready to run a fast 10k this weekend.

June is by far my favorite month (thank you, Flonase, for letting me enjoy it to its fullest).

7 miles @ 8:32 pace, and back to my paparazzi photos, as the fastest man in the US for the 1/2 and marathon ran past us.

Andrew coached Beck’s baseball practice right after my run, so I went straight to that to watch him play. Watching Sandlot 100 times has really prepared Beck for this season.

Call it a midlife crisis, but I really wanted to learn how to mow the lawn. At 40 years old, I had never mowed a lawn until yesterday. Growing up with three older brothers, yard work was always their responsibility, so I never had the chance to learn. Then I married Andrew, and he’s always handled mowing… until yesterday. Turns out mowing a lawn is a workout. I’m going to be sore.

Multiple breaks were required because this was harder than it looked. One of the breaks I took was to go inside and make a protein smoothie, but I got distracted by how dirty our stovetop was and spent 20 minutes cleaning it before I remembered I needed to finish the front yard.

It was very satisfying, and I created some beautiful lawn lines that I’m too proud of. Thank you for letting me share every weird part of my life with you.

We celebrated $5 sushi day together on the porch.

Brooke and Andrew had soccer practice, and I brought popsicles for everyone at the end.

And then we met up with my sister and her family for dinner.

Last but most importantly, we’ve been shoveling rocks out of this area for what feels like months. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO HERE once all of the rocks are out. There aren’t any sprinklers, and I am happy to water whatever we put here, but not too often. It is in direct sunlight for most of the day. Any ideas??

Any ideas for the area of my yard above that I have never once cared about until I started to care passionately about it recently?

Have a favorite month of the year?

Learned anything new lately? Or is there anything you haven’t done yet that a lot of people already have?
