We are up much later, and I’m waking up much earlier, which means things like realizing I have two sunglasses on top of my head for longer than I care to admit are happening often this summer. I was confused why people were staring at my head in the store…
It was our dearest Jo’s birthday yesterday, and so we did our birthday party thing in the canyon while talking about everything under the sun.

I took Jo’s favorite donuts (Litehouse) to the run, and once the kids heard I was bringing them for her, they made me promise to bring some home, too. The best glazed donuts in Utah:
Who needs to shower when you can go straight to the pond post-run?
The kids invited their friends, and we paddleboarded, played king of the mountain on our long inflatable board, and, of course, plenty of tanning for the girls… The UV was 11 (anyone else with teens who want to know the UV every hour of the day?!)
They all jumped from the bridge, too. With each year of life, I am more of a chicken…. In my 20s, I was skydiving, and there wasn’t a dollar amount yesterday that would have gotten me to jump off this bridge.
I came home to a very important package on my doorstep from See’s Candies. I nearly cried when I saw it. I’m calling this my biggest blogging accomplishment from the last almost 16 years on the internet;).
And then we headed up north to my nephew’s fiancée’s shower! She is so beautiful inside and out.
It’s really great to have a built-in best friend.

Random thing I was thinking about the other day and needed to know about you guys: If you do not like a book, do you finish reading it?
-There have been very few that I stopped altogether because even if I don’t like it much, I STILL HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.
