As I was driving to meet my friends for our speed workout, I thought about how I really hope I get to do this sort of thing for decades and decades. My mileage is much lower so far in my 40s than it was in my 30s, and I spend a lot more time strength training now than I used to… I know things will continue to shift and change, but I hope we all get to move our bodies in our favorite ways for a very, very long time.

I was very proud of Jenisy for putting the workout into her watch because I always forget and loved not having to think about the plan. 3-mile warm-up, 10 min fast, 5 min fast, 3 min fast, 2 min fast, 1 min fast, 3 min fast, 2 min fast, 1 min fast with equal recoveries to the next fast interval (ie a 5-minute recovery after the first 10 minutes fast).
10 miles total at 7:29 average. We started with a 6:15 pace for the first interval and got faster with each one. We actually paced it correctly and didn’t go out too fast and die in the end. I will take no credit for that pacing; it was my friends.

I also did a full-body strength workout (via the CGX app) in my living room. Don’t forget, it’s never too late to start strength training.
I love the adidas strength training shoes. They help me keep my form throughout the workout.

We were invited to come swim at the prettiest pool that I know of…

We stopped at the store on the way home, and I am tempted to try these out… should I? Do you ever branch out and try different fruit varieties?

This girl was ready for soccer (even her shin guards were on) 2.5 hours before practice started. I’ll take that as a sign that she really loves it:)

I figured out why I love Historical Fiction so much… The first series I ever fell in love with was the American Girl books. I would snuggle up in my bed with my Samantha doll and read all about their lives.

Beck waited on the front porch for 20 minutes until my nephew and his fiancée got to our house.

I needed a salad with feta/strawberry, blueberry, red onion, candied pecans, avocado, grilled chicken, grilled steak, and poppyseed dressing for dinner (along with a bunch of sides).

And the highlight of the day…. My nephew and his fiancée asked Beck to be their Ring Bearer at their wedding!

Remember when Knox was our Ring Bearer?!?
