Weekending, Did I tell you? + doing this in secret.

(Tank, shorts, shoes)

Timp Ridge Trail has to be one of my very favorites in Utah. You get back there and feel like you are in Switzerland.

You park at the Timpooneke trailhead, and we go out and back on the trail, but I’m sure there is a way to loop it all back around. The views on this trail are so stunning that I don’t mind the out-and-back at all.

8 miles with about 1300 ft of climbing.

We usually see moose up here, but thankfully we skipped that tradition. I DO NOT like seeing moose close to me. From a distance they are great, but close up… nope.

I had some really bad falls on the trails last year, and I am being way more cautious on them this year. So far, I haven’t fallen and I wonder if consistent strength training is also helping with that?!

You finish up near this creek, and it’s required to put your hands in it and splash a bit on your face. The water feels like it was snow moments before it gets to you…

We were able to celebrate both of our dads for Father’s Day on Friday. My dad had his second-ever Diet Dr Pepper at the burger joint we took him to, and it’s turned into our thing.

And then we took Andrew’s parents to the Bee’s game. I almost caught a ball, and it’s going to take Beck a few more months to forgive me for not catching it.

The best kind of summer night.

I ran laps around Skye’s soccer practice over the weekend. Did I tell you the story about Skye’s soccer setup? She wanted to try out for the club this last spring, and Andrew and I were crossing our fingers that she would even make a team, because she was coming in with very little experience. At tryouts, they kept bumping her up until she was in tryouts for their top team… There was one spot open for their Premier State-level team that plays against older teams, and they wanted Skye. She is working very hard, and I’m following her lead with this. I do not want her to ever feel burned out, and I want to keep it fun. But she is LOVING this team and how competitive they are!

Knox did so well in his Rugby games, and I’m starting to understand the sport better!

And that evening, Skye’s soccer team had a party. How do I go most of the year without these gorgeous slices of watermelon?

Father’s Day for Andrew was a great one. We watched World Cup games for hours.

And played for a while, too. I’m practicing dribbling the ball in secret from Brooke so I can just be dribbling the ball out of nowhere and she’ll wonder how I got so good;)
