We screamed when we came across this dead tarantula. I really hope it wasn’t a runner that stepped on it and killed it… I feel lightheaded just looking at this picture. So why am I sharing this with you? I don’t know.
Brooke was running with my running partner’s daughter while we ran, and then Brooke and I came home, and both had to apologize to Max for not taking him running with us.

I got the treat of meeting Valene yesterday! We’ve chatted here and on IG for YEARS now, and she was in town touring colleges with her son. We had the best time chatting. I couldn’t be more thankful for how the love of running (good food, family, movement) has brought us all together.
Valene and I both had the GOAT at Rockwell–> Creamy goat cheese base with homemade blackberry lemon jam and rosemary roasted almonds.
The kids had been craving a trip to the river with the pups.
Beretta is moving so much slower than she used to that we sometimes have to hold Max back to let her fetch the balls so she has a chance to get them.
Brooke has been craving this tortellini soup, and even though it is hotter than heck here, we all agreed it was just what we needed for dinner last night.
My friend, Tracy, absolutely spoils us. She always brings over the best finds, and yesterday she brought us this new bread at Costco. It tastes like pie. Please try this if you see it there, and toast it with some butter.
