a day in the life post:

(bra, shorts)

The blogs that outline their days are fewer and fewer, but I will never let go. I’m grasping onto this type of blogging like it’s still the cool thing to do;). So, here is what my day looked like:

3/4 of the kids went back to school yesterday. Andrew had a bike date with Beck, which meant I had the morning to sleep in and go for a run after the kids were in school. But, of course, the day I could sleep more, my body (well, my brain was racing, worried about everything) would not let me. So, I got up and did a shoulder workout before the kids were awake.

The kids woke up, and we made them an egg scramble –> current favorite: eggs, sweet potatoes, onions, cheese, and avocado on top. They were all very excited to wear their new clothes and see their friends.

It’s crazy to me that there was ever a time that they weren’t best friends (aka before they were 3):

Beck and Andrew rode the canyon.

And I ran 8 miles @ 8:08 pace.

They caught up with us for a bit, too.

Two of Beck’s friends came over to play, and Andrew and I ate leftover BBQ Chicken Pizza (leftover pizza cooked in the air fryer>>).

Beck then had his kindergarten assessment to figure out his placement and they sent him home with this cute book. HE. IS. SO. READY.

And then we made these cookies for an afternoon-school snack.

Next up was picking up the kids and then hearing as many details as they could remember about their days. Everyone had a great day at school, and I only heard, “I wish it was still summer,” six times.

Knox is getting close to Andrew’s size, and he still wants to be the lap child;).

Then all of the kids had their different sports practice. During Skye’s practice, I wrote part of this post, and walked around her field for a bit because walking has become one of my favorite joys in life.

Andrew made these air fryer salmon bites for dinner and had it ready right when we got home from practice. It was heavenly. I always add Bachan’s Japanese BBQ sauce to my salmon bowls.

And then we made lunches, had everyone’s clothes ready for the next day and sat around the fire for a bit.

Once the kids were in bed, Andrew and I watched Age of Attraction because I will never tire of dating reality shows;)
